Beauty Tips & Tricks: Fall Make Up Trends for 2013

With the changing of the seasons comes subtle changes in the fashion world for make up.  Unlike so many previous runway shows, this year the designers went with more wearable trends on their models.  And I'm not going to just tell you what the trends are, I'm going to show you how to get the looks and make them last all day!

The Cat Eye

Get the Look:  Apply primer to your eyes from the lashes to the brow, and under your eye where you'll be applying some liner.  Choose a nude color eye shadow and apply from the crease of your eye to the brow.  Use your eyeliner and ON THE TOP of the lashes, make a line across the whole upper eye.  ON THE BOTTOM, just line from the outer side to your pupil.  When you're applying the shadow, make a line across and then fill in.  I usually take a small eye liner brush and go over my eye liner with a matching shadow, this will help your eye liner stay on longer.  I recommend trying L'Oreal Infallible Eye Shadow- it's long lasting!

Glitter Eyes

Get the Look:  I use NYX Roll On Shimmer or Jane Iredale 24Karat when I want glittery eyes.
For NYX, you can use it with or with out eye shadow.  If you're wanting a more dramatic look, apply your eye shadow first, then roll on the Shimmer, use a blending brush to help spread the Shimmer and decrease lines.
For Jane Iredale 24K, you can apply it wet by dipping a small eye shadow brush in water (be sure to dab it before adding the 24K) and then applying.  It will last longer, although takes about 10-15 seconds to dry.  If you want to use eye shadow first, you can easily apply the 24K color of choice with a blending brush.

Wine Lips

Get the Look:  For this look all you'll need is your favorite wine lip color, but instead of using lipstick, go for a lip pencil.  Use a mattifier like Jane Iredale Absence Oil Free Primer, dab with a kleenex, then apply the color.  Apply a make up powder, then the pencil color again.  You'll have deep color that will last all day!

Red Matte Lips

Get the Look:  For this look all you'll need is your favorite red lip color, but instead of using lipstick, go for a lip pencil. Use a mattifier like Jane Iredale Absence Oil Free Primer, dab with a kleenex, then apply the color. Apply a make up powder, then the pencil color again.
