How would I dress up or dress down some of the staples in my closet? Like jeans, colored jeans, LBD, or a plain white chambray?

I'll start with the Dress Up:
Jeans- All it takes is a pair of heels and a solid color shirt (maybe your white chambray). You can also add a suit jacket. One of my recent looks was black tuxedo jeans, black lace cami, and a teal cardigan. I paired it with some sparkly black flats.
Colored Jeans- Heels or flats with this work wonders. Try a long shirt and add a long necklace, as well. You can also do a white button down shirt and a suit jacket. Maybe some tall boots.
LBD- You can do almost anything to dress up your Little Black Dress. I'm liking all the fun tights that have been in season this winter. But since warm weather is around the corner in Texas, I'd suggest some stunning shoes. Jewelry can go subtle, if you wear your hair down, or stunning with a fun updo or braid. White Chambray- I hardly ever advocate a mini, but a tuxedo mini skirt would be just right to dress up this number. Add tall boots and sheer black tights for completion. You can also pair the chambray with nice slacks, almost any color will do, but beware looking a barista from Starbucks, so avoid khaki. Nicer shoes will help with keeping the dressing up factor.
Dressing Down:
Jeans: Well, clearly, you can go the route of a t-shirt and tennis shoes. But if that's too casusal, try a v-neck or scoop neck shirt with some Tom's (or Bob's). Try rolling up the jeans for added casualness.
Colored Jeans: Again, a plain white or black shirt will do the trick. Stay in the cotton family and you'll be just fine. Shoes can consist of flip flops, sandals, even wedged sandals. Boyfriend t-shirt are a good look with colored denim.
LBD- Try a denim jacket and some sandals. Braid your hair or let it wave up naturally. If you wear jewelry, try some bangles or plain hoop earrings.
White Chambray- Try this with some boyfriend jeans or a floral print skirt. You can add in a denim jacket, as well. Put on some sandals or wedge sandals and you'll be good to go, especially if you're going to be touring a beach town. Keep jewelry on the smaller side if you go floral.
